Words are important and make up an important part of our everyday lives - communication.

I like words and even more I like the action of writing - the good old fashioned way with pen and paper - but I find that I don't do enough of it these days. And as you can see I tend to switch handwriting style very easily - depending of the pen, on the speed and depending on what I am writing.

Where would we be without words?

Words have helped to shape and create our history."

Photo A Day - Day 40

Today's theme was fire.


Originally I was going to take a very original photo of a lit candle, but while at work today I started doodling sprites (in between waiting for archaic work computer to catch up with my typing. Honestly I don't type that fast).


I have been working on flower sprites but I got to thinking about fire sprites, so this is my interpretation of the theme Fire:

The Day That We Have Been Waiting For...

Mr Mouse and I have been somehow managing without broadband since we moved.

When I say managing I mean we were just getting by using his iPhone and my HTC

Mr Mouse works from home and needs the internet for 'stuff' like research (his two bookcases of reference books apparently don't cut it), and its pretty important for keeping in touch with clients.

And me well I am the first one to admit that I am a little bit of a social media junkie. I am also in the process setting up an esty shop - makes ready, photos done just one bit missing......

.....BROADBAND.

Well today was the day and yes it works (yes we are making up for lost time)

The theme was stones rocks and pebbles.
Much to Mr Mouses amusement I undid boxes to find my stone collection.
I haven't seen these in a while and I am so glad to finally have them out again.
And yes I am one of 'those' people - crystals call to me. I feel an energy from them and there are times that I can't walk past a stall of crystals without locating the 'one' that is pulling me on that occasion.

Photo A Day - Ooops & Intresting Ideas Forming.....

So I have gotten a little behind with my photo a day challenge....again.

As I have mentioned we have recently moved and are still waiting for crucial services to be set up.

We now have our Sky TV transferred - so no more staring at a blank telly, but we are still waiting for our phone and broadband to be sorted out.

So how have I been blogging? Well I have been using my trusty HTC and all its wonderfulness but have been relying on a 3G connection and dreaded usage limits (occasionally archaic work computer allows me access) and about a week ago I lost the link to tell me how much allowance I had left - nervous times as I did not want to be faced with a huge bill for my internet addiction. But its ok new usage allowance has been added for the month and broadband should be going live soon :)

Now as to interesting ideas forming...

I am planning on making a cake. Not very hard I know, but this one will be made from fabric instead of flour, sugar, eggs and butter but will still be yummy. My littlemouse brain is working out a pattern now.

I have also had some lovely comments with regard to my flower sprites, so I have some plans for those too involving printer and some 'special' paper.

Updates will be appearing soon.

And as to my promised shop - well the broadband technical issued have also heald that up - but I am planning something to go with its launch.

Its all go at Mouse Manor :)

Photo A Day - Day 37

Todays theme was obsession.


I thought I knew what I was going to do but then realised it was wrong. First thoughts were books or my fabric collection but then they are passions not obsessions.


A few months ago I could have done  Star Wars but I *gulps* actually got rid of some of my rather obsessive Star Wars bits and what I have left (ok its still a fair amount) is boxed up.


And it hit me today what one of my obsessions is - Radley


And this isn't even all of it (the handbags yes - but other bits like fold up bags, key rings, note books and a pair of sandals are dotted about the house)


I once even considered getting a scottie dog to name....
yes you've guessed it Radley :)
